Why are we doing this?
A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies. Proverbs 12:17
no lie is of the truth. 1 John 2:21
Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20
He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD. Proverbs 17:15
We appeal to our detractors to check all the information we have provided on this site. We have made the court addresses available to you (below) so you can order your own copies or go to the courthouses and look at them. Some Riplinger defenders are falsely calling our efforts to defend the truth a smear campaign even while they admit that they have not checked into the information on their own. Those who have not verified this information for themselves are not equipped to argue, and they are not free to criticize those who have.

There was a time in our lives when we used only the King James Bible (KJV), and not because of preference but because of a dogma we believed as truth. One of us grew up using it. We still use the KJV today, but not exclusively.
Our former pastor frequently proclaimed that the KJV is God's only Bible. He taught that God had amazingly and miraculously preserved His word only in the KJV, via the Textus Receptus, the one true text of the Bible. He taught that there were no Bible manuscripts extant today, that they had not lasted over the centuries. Our church elders taught the same when they preached, sometimes spending an entire church service or sermon on the subject. It all sounded so wonderful, even honest, the way the facts were presented. We saw no reason not to believe such information; we trusted everything our pastor told us. Everyone else in the faithful congregation did the same.
We believed that, indeed, God loved the King James Version and the English language, so much that He chose to preserve His word in it and in it only. The year A.D. 1611 was surely a special time in history because God had chosen it as the year in which He would finalize the translation of His word. And God loved poetry so much that he had chosen the poetic English of the 17th century in which to preserve it. It was miraculous and amazing.
We heard some teachers proclaim that any person who doesn't know English would have to learn it to read God's word since it was preserved only in English, in the KJV. We heard people who taught that the original Greek was no longer relevant and that the English of the KJV corrects the original manuscripts. How amazing and miraculous all this seemed to be.
Then, becoming convicted that something was not accurate in what we had come to believe, we began to ask questions and did our own research. God opened doors of information for us, and as we went through them, we began to learn and to understand. That pastor is our former pastor because he did not take kindly to questions and angrily wanted us out of his church if we were not going to conform to the consensus. He did not agree with doing one's own research and held that we just needed to listen to him because was the authority over us.
Wanting to be like the Bereans, whom the Apostle Paul praised highly, we began comparing what we were taught with what Scripture says. We searched history and we began noticing certain details did not match what we had been told was unquestionable truth. We could not find a single Scripture stating that God has promised to preserve His word in only one Bible version, one textual family, or one set of manuscripts--not even in one language over another. There wasn't even a hint in Scripture that alluded to a possibility. Even so, we could not find any evidence in Scripture indicating God had chosen only the English Authorized Version of 1611 as the one Bible version for English speakers, nor the Greek Textus Receptus of the New Testament and Masoretic Hebrew Text of the Old Testament as the one and only texts within which He has exclusively preserved His word. Likewise, we noted that God has not said He would cease the translation of His word in English-or in any language-in 1611. We learned that His word has been providentially preserved in a combination of manuscripts and translations throughout the centuries, diligently copied and translated by human beings, a rich testimony of God's word made available to mankind. It is by God's providence that a good portion of original language manuscripts (copies of the original autographs; some translated from the original Greek into other early languages) is extant today. They attest to His promise of preserving His word.
One evening after church, a fellow brother handed us a videotape featuring a black cover with a red dragon, insisting we watch it. We were told that the lady on the tape really knew her stuff, because she held a lot of educational degrees. It was very important that we watch this video and listen to what she had to say. According to the cover her name was G.A. Riplinger and we had never heard of her before. We stared at the tape's ominous dark cover and the bright red dragon, wondering what sort of Christian message used such dubious imagery.
So, we watched the Nite Line (New Age Bible Versions) interview. However, less than halfway through it, we kept sensing a nagging inside our spirits that would not ease. Something wasn't right. We couldn't pinpoint what it was right then, but there was something wrong with what she was saying. Riplinger's information, somehow, just didn't figure.
Proverbs 18:17 The first to present his case seems right, till another comes forward and questions him.
Proverbs 14:15 The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going.
One of the first things we checked out was her claim that Isaiah 26:3 has been seriously altered in the New American Standard Bible (NASB), through the omission of words.
Riplinger stated that while the KJV reads Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee, the NASB omits the phrase because he trusteth in thee.
Looking at Isaiah 26:3 in the NASB, we found that it reads: The steadfast of mind You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.
The NASB says the same thing as the KJV, just in different wording. The message is the same and the phrase because he trusteth in thee is not omitted. There it was, right in front of our eyes, in the NASB.
After verifying what the NASB really says we were astounded that she would give such incorrect information in an interview, on a Christian program. Thinking that maybe she had accidentally misspoke, we began to check into some of the other information she gave on the video. To our amazement, more of her information was wrong. We could not figure why someone would do an interview if they did not have their facts straight or were not being extra careful to avoid falsely accuse others-especially by accusing the accurate modern Bible translations of doing things they do not do. Why would someone not, at least, use notes so they could be sure to speak accurately in public?
We found a used copy of New Age Bible Versions and began a close examination of her claims. Becoming familiar with some of her main subjects (B.F. Westcott and F.J.A. Hort, Helena Blavatsky, quotes from various New Age practitioners and their critics, and a multitude of charts filled with comparisons of the new versions with the KJV) we began to collect a large number of the books (many of them very old and out of print) that Riplinger lists as her sources in the reference notes at the back of her book. We recorded our astonished findings in notes, which turned into volumes.
Just as Riplinger claims she collated Bible versions, we began collating her quotations of other people, using the sources she cited. What we found was even more astounding than the erroneous claims she made in the Nite Line video. A definite pattern emerged as we checked her words with those in the source books. It became evident that these many misquotations (at least one to two per page, on average) were not by accident. They were not mere, simple misquotations but gross distortions of the words originally written by and about those whom she was quoting. They were re-quoted with careful effort.
Proverbs 19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape.
Psalm 31:18 Let the lying lips be put to silence.
We saw that she misquoted some New Age teachers, such as Helena Blavatsky, so that their words appeared to prove the modern versions are evil. Blavatsky's writings are bad enough on their own, without distorting them further. Riplinger manipulated the words of numerable authors to make it seem that the new versions were doing what she alleges they do. Yet, we found that a great majority of the charts utilized by her presented erroneous information-information that falsely accused the NIV, NASB, and NKJV of doing many things they do not. Riplinger misquoted many verses from the NIV, NASB, and NKJV. Why?
Why haven't more of Riplinger's adherents checked her claims?
Exodus 23:1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Some of the worst distortions were her misquoting of Westcott and Hort. Word after word, sentence after sentence, their actual words, and the context and meaning of what they had actually said, were rearranged. Words were omitted and added that are not in the originals. There is no other way to describe it other than a majority of quotations lay mutilated before our eyes as we examined Riplinger's book alongside the original writings. Unless one was to see it himself he might think it incredulous.
Most people would have quit such a comparison study before ten pages, but we were moved on by curiosity and a love for truth, puzzled that a person calling herself a Christian would so blatantly lie page after page and so viciously slander two men who have been dead for over a century.
Proverbs 15:32 He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.
Proverbs 14:16 A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident.
Proverbs 12:1 Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, But he who hates correction is stupid.
We came across a follow-up booklet for New Age Bible Versions and saw how unwilling Riplinger was to take correction for the many obvious errors she had made. Though there were several witnesses who had personally found her information to be terribly erroneous, she denied she had done anything wrong and refused to correct the misinformation, viciously attacking them rather than repenting.
Proverbs 14:25 A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies.
Proverbs 15:4 A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
Proverbs 17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty person.
Riplinger's hostility and unrepentant spirit seemed contagious. We found that it had passed to some of her most loyal followers. We were amazed and saddened to see that so many people (on the Internet, in some churches, on radio programs) not only believed what she had written in her books but they also defended her to the point of willful contention with others, even though most of them admitted that they had not checked her work for accuracy. Some used vile four-letter words against those that calmly and lovingly told them about the errors in Riplinger's books. How shocking and unbecoming of people who claim to follow Christ and His example.
Taking place on the Internet was a lot of bashing of those who chose not to use only the King James Version. There were some who made another gospel of their belief that the King James Version is the only Bible, and anyone who did not believe as they did were doomed to hell. The precious shed blood of Jesus Christ and belief in Him for salvation was no longer enough. One had to also read only the KJV, or else. It had become Jesus Christ plus the KJV and in some cases, the KJV was held more important that Jesus Christ. The unloving words did not even remotely resemble Christ-likeness. It was a dark area. Some plainly told others to go to hell because they did not believe that God had declared the KJV as the only Bible. We heard one radio preacher shout, The King James Bible is the only Bible in the universe. Many people quoted from Riplinger's books while name-calling and attacking those that didn't agree. There was a deep suspicion of anyone who questioned Riplinger, even when evidence was given. There were (still are) outright lies about a particular modern Bible translator losing his voice on the John Ankerberg Show being hashed and rehashed on a multitude of web sites, even though Ankerberg had publicly released the full, unedited video segment that proved the man had not lost his voice. He had gotten a very brief frog in his throat, which a sip of water easily removed.
Proverbs 10:11 The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
It seemed that contention had been granted a free license to run amok.
Didn't Jesus warn us that wolves in sheep's clothing would come in among the church? Didn't Paul sound the same warning, that after he was gone wolves would sneak in (throughout church history), bringing damnable heresies to draw away disciples (followers) after themselves? We need to recognize it when it happens, folks. We need to listen to God and the warnings of others.
Romans 13:9
thou shalt not bear false witness
Psalm 50:19, 21, 23 You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit
you thought that I was altogether like you; but I will rebuke you, and set them in order before your eyes
Even if the modern versions were New Age or evil, Riplinger's lies cannot serve, in any way, to defend the truth or expose other lies. No one can lie and justify that they are lying for God. And didn't Jesus say that a kingdom divided cannot stand? Didn't He say that Satan cannot cast out Satan? So, how will lying cast out lying? How can lies cancel lies? How can lying defend truth? How can lying serve God?
Job 13:7 Will ye speak wickedly for God? and talk deceitfully for him?
What Riplinger has done in New Age Bible Versions is wrong. False teaching is poison in the church. God's people-many of them unwary-are being taken. There were people in our former church who trusted her with the best of intentions, but they did not bother to check her claims for validity. Instead, they wanted us to leave. Defending Riplinger took priority over a prevention of church division. Defending Riplinger was more important than defending truth.
God's word tells us specifically, no lie is of the truth. Scripture teaches us how to recognize a false teacher. A real teacher cannot willingly teach lies along with truth, nor lies as truth, just as a good fountain cannot flow with both bitter and sweet water. And what fellowship does light have with darkness?
After all we had found, we were a bit surprised when we read Riplinger's claim that it was God who wrote New Age Bible Versions and that she was just the secretary. It is the height of blasphemy for anyone to give God credit for anything that is a lie. Scripture is CLEAR that God cannot lie.
Proverbs 11:9 An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.
Proverbs 15:12 A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him...
Riplinger has been given plenty of fair, loving warning that what she has done is not acceptable, and she has been given ample opportunity to repent and renounce her behavior, and to make amends, yet she continues to plow like a bull through a china shop, seeming not to care how many are snared along the way. She has yet to remove the slander and lies from her books, and she continues to sell in a guise of truth. As long as there are people who continue to believe her, she will continue to prosper from them.
If Paul told the Bereans to use Scripture to check what he told them, to be sure that he was telling them the truth and not contradicting what Scripture says, then all of us are to check every teacher that comes our way-even Gail Riplinger.
Exodus 23:7 Keep thee far from a false matter
for I will not justify the wicked.
Don't we want to be sure that the people whose teachings we sit under are living in obedience to God? If they are lying to us and teaching falsehood, what does Scripture tell us? It tells us they are false teachers and that we are not to hear them. A person is not a truth-seeker if they believe that lying is no big deal. What is inside the heart will come out of the mouth, and what is spoken with the mouth is often written down with the pen.
We found that Riplinger is quite vague about herself. Her imprecise claims about degrees, universities, honor societies, an ambassadorship to Russia, Who's Who, textbooks, etc., looked suspicious to us.
She has said she is in an international edition of Who's Who but she refrains from saying which one. There are several. She was not found in the ones we checked.
She states she authored six college textbooks (pg. 5 of Which Bible is God's Word?) but never shares their titles.
She was elected to a membership in a national education honorary (pg. 5 of Which Bible is God's Word?), yet she never gives the name of this honorary.
Riplinger is very vague about dates and times when she talks about her ten years as a Kent State University professor. She has often mentioned her B.A., M.A., and M.F.A. but not in what area she earned them.
It's as if she does not want anyone to know enough to be able to check the validity of her claims. Most people who have nothing to hide will offer the titles of their textbooks, they will tell you exactly what honorary they belong to, and in what Who's Who they can be found.
She mentions her credentials on book covers and at her web site. Yet, they don't accompany a salvation testimony. When did she meet the Lord Jesus and become born-again? Isn't this more important than all the credentials and honoraries a person might collect in life? Is not one's relationship with the redeemer more precious than all our earthly collections and accomplishments? Why not make one's salvation testimony as public as one's honoraries and degrees?
Wouldn't a Christian author want her readers to know her personal Christian testimony, before anything else? More than in what college she taught classes? More than how many secular textbooks she published? Earthly recognition is not necessarily bad, but it shouldn't take precedence over proclaiming how one knows they have a relationship with Christ. Honoraries and degrees are temporary and fleeting, fodder, the wood, hay, and the stubble of this lifetime only. They are not eternal and will one day be burned up when God cleanses the earth. The good fruit of one's life in Christ is the gold that will withstand the testing fire.
Other things made us suspicious of her claims. In videos and books she is careful to leave off the date of her supposed disability retirement from Kent State University. She has stated she was bedridden for six years and that her hands and eyes did not work well during that time, yet she was somehow able to collate multiple Bible versions and write a manuscript. Interestingly, during this period of disability, she was able to have a baby (her daughter Bryn), six years before publishing New Age Bible Versions, although she leaves that detail out of her usual story.
Her vagueness brought many questions. Did she want to appear as someone important while remaining vague enough to prevent people from checking her claims for accuracy? Her credentials make her appear genuine to people.
She is surrounded by secrecy. Why? To find answers we turned to public records.
The first thing we did was run a background check on her. We were pleasantly surprised when it came through with a past address that coincided with the address on the inside cover of New Age Bible Versions, Munroe Falls, Ohio, before she relocated to Virginia, and also showed the name of her current husband. It also contained her maiden name. We knew we had the right person.
What got our attention the most, however, was that the report showed her under an also known as name: Gail Ann Kaleda. (We later learned that the E was dropped from her middle name due to a court typo on a marriage document.) If her maiden name was Ludwig and her current last name is Riplinger, then why was she once Gail Kaleda? That same sense of unease nagged in our spirits, just like it had when we saw that Nite Line video. We suspected that she had been married to another man at some point and even gave her the benefit of the doubt that she could have been a widow.
We searched through court records and found her current marriage record. Expecting to see only one previous marriage, we were rather surprised that the document declares her as previously married and divorced, twice. It answered the question of why she had been Gail Kaleda. That document led us to her second marriage record and subsequent divorce record, which in turn led us to the records for her first marriage and divorce.
Proverbs 5:3-4 For the lips of an immoral woman drip honey, and her mouth is smoother than oil; But in the end she is bitter as wormwood, sharp as a two-edged sword.
Mark 10:12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
According to the dates on her first divorce record, she filed for divorce AFTER the time she was saved at the age of 26 (which she has claimed in several of her video lectures). She filed several days after her 27th birthday. She met her second husband at Kent State University and their marriage took place a year and a half after the first divorce. Seven years later she filed for divorce. Neither divorce was based on Scriptural grounds (as examination of the documents will show). Marital infidelity (adultery or unfaithfulness, the ONLY reason Jesus, who is God, ever gave for divorce), on the part of either husband, was not listed as her reason for wanting each divorce.
Unfortunately, some who defend Peter S. Ruckman as a pastor, although he has also been divorced twice, also defend Gail Riplinger's divorces, despite Scriptural refutation for both.
Riplinger's current marriage is surrounded by suspicion because the court records show it took place less than two months after the second divorce. The orthodox guidelines in Mark 10:11-12, 1 Corinthians 7:10-15, 39 and Romans 7:2-3 apply to Mike and Gail Riplinger just as much as they do anyone else. Yet, some people refuse to believe that the female teacher they have put their trust in for all these years has not been honest with them.
Before anyone argues that Riplinger's private life has no bearing on her teachings, let them be reminded that God has given very strict moral guidelines (and restrictions) to men who would teach Christians, in any capacity, and since God is no respecter of persons, such restrictions (as well as others that are gender specific) apply concerning women who teach. God's word is full of doctrine that concerns teachers living a morally pure and honest life, a life that is above reproach and in obedience to God, and a life that will not tarnish one's ministry. The apostle Paul is a model example of this. It is perhaps a difficult, narrow way, but also why teachers will receive greater judgment. The questionable nature of Riplinger's moral background and her willingness to continue her false teachings are complete grounds for her disqualification as a teacher or authority on orthodox Christian doctrine-just as it would be for any other teachers whose life or actions are in disobedience to scriptural commands (Ted Haggard, Benny Hinn, Peter Popoff, Paula White, Robert Tilton, etc).
There are many pastors who would not have allowed Riplinger to teach their congregations from their pulpits if they had known about her divorces. Their teachings on divorce and remarriage show where they stand. Some of these pastors are vehemently against any reason for divorce and they would have been branded hypocrites if they had knowingly allowed a divorced woman to speak as an authority in their churches. If these pastors would have known, it could have meant less personal success for Riplinger, fewer book sales, and far less of a following. Some of these men would not have urged their congregations to purchase her books or stand behind her they way they have. The conflict between her false claims and her real life would have been obvious. So, Riplinger kept her troubled past a secret, hiding what would have caused a problem with some of those pastors, and her following grew tremendously because no one knew.
She was Gail Kaleda for most of the time she attended Kent State University (KSU). She earned her degrees and was an assistant professor for four years under that name. There is no one listed in KSU's commencement records or class bulletins that graduated or taught under the name of Gail Riplinger. Her textbooks were written under the name Gail Kaleda. And any supposed honoraries that she might have obtained also occurred while she was Gail Kaleda. In fact, after she became Gail Riplinger (October 1984) she continued to teach at KSU for several years under her maiden name, Ludwig, rather than her new married name.
We combed through the archives at Kent State University and found her in commencement records and past University bulletins. She has said she was a full-time professor for a decade (pg. 5 of Which Bible is God's Word? and in several lecture videos), yet KSU records show that she worked there as an assistant professor for only eight years, from 1980 until early 1988. A decade is 10 years, not 8.
She has said, For the first ten years of my academic career I researched and taught in the area of the built environment (pg. 6 of Which Bible is God's Word?), yet her B.A., obtained in 1978, is in Interior Design and it is her only degree having to do with the built environment. Her M.A. was obtained in 1979, in Home Economics, with her M.F.A. being obtained in 1983 in Art. (All of these records can be verified by anyone at Kent State University; she is listed in their records under her second married name of Kaleda and maiden name of Ludwig.) KSU shows her listed as having taught ONLY home economics classes and (later) in Family and Consumer Studies (under which home economics is now included at KSU) and not in the area of the built environment. Her six out-of-print textbooks, written while she was Gail Kaleda, are located in KSU's main and architectural (Taylor Hall) libraries. They touch on some aspects of interior design, as well as family and consumer science, with at least one textbook originally being her M.F.A. thesis (Restaurants, listed by KSU as her M.F.A.). A list of their titles can be found at worldcat.org under Gail Kaleda. Riplinger is quite an accomplished artist, as seen by her many drawings in several of her textbooks. It is our guess that she drew the red dragon found on the cover of New Age Bible Versions.
Proverbs 12:4 A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones.
The fact that Gail Riplinger has been divorced twice is not the worst of it all. While it is one thing when a person humbly admits they have been divorced and have truly repented before God for it, it is quite another to utterly lie about it when asked.
In early 2008, Riplinger had a chance to come clean about her hidden past. But instead of acknowledging it, she denied it. Plain and simple, she lied. One lie breeds another, and then another, and then soon more lies are needed to cover the others. Riplinger chose to hold to her pattern of dishonesty, like she had when first confronted with the untruths discovered in her books.
Donald A. Waite of The Bible for Today, a large supporter of Gail Riplinger, held a King James Bible Conference at Straightway Baptist Church in Princeton, New Jersey, January 10-11, 2008. The conference was broadcast via video on the Internet. During a question-and-answer session, someone emailed a question that asked if it was true that Gail Riplinger is divorced. Waite replied that his wife had recently spoken with Riplinger concerning the information and that Riplinger had denied she was ever divorced, telling Mrs. Waite that she has been married to the same man for all these years. Well, yes, since 1984 (24 years ago) she has been married to the same man. But that is not what the question had asked. But her further denial seems to confirm the concealment of her past, as well as her awareness that its scandal would cause problems for her if those pastors that trust her knew about it.
The line should have been drawn at the lies in her books-but now Riplinger is lying about her previous marriages.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.
We appeal to Dr. Waite to address this matter honestly. Shortly after his conference at Straightway Baptist Church, we sent him copies of Gail Riplinger's marriage and divorce records and have confirmation that he received them. We are still waiting for him to publicly acknowledge receipt of them. We appeal to him to stop supporting Riplinger in dishonesty and call a spade a spade. If he fears and obeys God, he cannot continue to hide Riplinger's dishonesty for his own advantage. If he, and other men of authority, continue relying on her teachings to advance their own gain then their fear of God is very small and, by example, they deny the word they claim they believe. One cannot honestly proclaim a love for truth while covering a lie, to guard his cause.
Proverbs 26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it.
It seems that Riplinger is willing to lie about whatever she needs to, to get what she wants, to preserve self, to keep things going her way. The fact is, her own demonstrations show that the truth is not her main concern. They go beyond a belief that the King James Bible is supreme. She has defrauded many people through the dishonesty of her books and by hiding a past that would have disqualified her scripturally.
In lying there is no love.
Proverbs 13:5 A righteous man hateth lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and cometh to shame.
Faced with Riplinger's continuing dishonesty, we decided that it was necessary to make the documents public, to proclaim the truth through the evidence, so that those Berean Christians who are concerned can make an informed decision concerning a person in which they had placed their trust and given their hard-earned money. A religious fraud is a fraud, whether they are Ted Haggard, Marjoe, Peter Popoff, Jim Baker, Benny Hinn, or any other charlatan, and such fraud needs to be exposed for the sake of the truth and overall Christian integrity. Should we just leave it all up to secular Dateline investigators or should we do what Scripture says?
2 Corinthians 11:14-15 14 And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15 It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.
Titus 1:10-11, 16 For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers
whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses [households], teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake
They profess that they know God; but in [their] works they deny him [are fake], being abominable [detestable], and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate [disqualified and unfit].
By her own words, in her books and videos, Riplinger has shown herself as a fraud. To her, one lie is no different than another and the ends justify the means. She is knowingly selling books full of misinformation concerning God's word and Christian brethren. She has lied about her past. She is not unlike any other con artist who comes into the church talking kindly, having a sweet demeanor, and smiling while they tell you how much they love Jesus. Such are not what they pretend to be. She is completely aware of what she is doing.
Riplinger's misquoting of sources has been carefully constructed. She knew she was changing the wording when she wrote those books.
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove [reprimand or censure] them.
2 John 10-11 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine [everything Christ and His word teaches], do not receive him into your house nor greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds.
Christians are commanded to expose evil. God's word makes it clear that lying is evil. In fact, lying is such an issue with God that He dedicated one of His ten commandments to it.
Acts 20:29-30 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Her agenda, folks, is not what she has told you it is. She is NOT defending God's word. She is defending herself and the money she has made off YOU. While you can spend your money any way you like, God is going to deal with willful liars and those who defend them. As Christians we MUST be able to discern, to recognize when someone is not what he or she claims to be, and to know when self-proclaimed teachers are disobeying God's word right under our noses. Pray for them, but avoid them.
Gail Riplinger has proven herself disqualified and she has nothing more to say to us until she genuinely repents. We hope, for her sake, that she will.
In the future, as time permits, we will share more of the misinformation, and outright lies and slander, found within Riplinger's books.
Proverbs 13:20 He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed
This is a call to awaken to truth. It is time for soul searching. If you have trusted Gail Riplinger and been led to believe that she has been truthful with you, and with God's church, may God give you guidance and discernment as you search out the truth and deal with this issue.
